Below is a consolidated high value crating solution prepared for international shipment. Unit was packed with its peripherals and other fragile parts in ISPM-15, 3-point lock Crate. Some of the methods used in packing this shipment are stated below:
- Main Unit was sealed in custom made Anti-Static, Anti Moisture barrier bag. Moisture barrier bags are also called foil bags, alufoil bags or mylar bags. This added benefit is very effective in protecting against corrosive damage caused by humidity, moisture, oxygen, salt spray, aromas, grease and other airborne contaminants.
- VCI Volatile Corrosion Inhibitors (VCIs) were added for extra protection. These are sometimes referred to asvapor corrosion inhibitors. VCIs provide excellent protection for metal surfaces and can prevent corrosion.
- Main Unit and peripheral equipment were banded to pallet before wall and additional blocking and bracing was installed.
