Crated Machine
Now although this machine is heavy it is not enough to keep it in place during the shipping process. The base is actually narrower than the top so that makes it more unstable at the top and increases the chances of it falling over unless the feet are mounted to the base of the crate. Note the piece of timber running through the center base of the machine and bolted to the base of the crate, This pinches the base of the machine to the base of the crate thus decreasing the chance of slippage. The top is still an issue that will be dealt with before the crate is capped. Attachments and accessories are mounted to the base to be shipped as 'one unit' to keep everything together insuring that nothing will be left out or packed in a diffrent part of the shipment.
