Tall Standing Machines Crated

Remember the "Super Duper Crate"? As I explained before we would have to do more to the machine after the crate was completed. Rust inhibitor is use on the work surfaces to protect the working areas. After this step we cover the entire machine in plastic sheathing and shrink wrap everything tightly to the machine to create a barrier to prevent seepage of moisture during the shipment. Now to keep the machine from fall-overs within the crate or the entire crate itself we cross brace the machine at the top to prevent or slow the effects of instability at the top of the machine. Here you see the sheathing and the cross bracing. Although this crate may not look like it it is actually more than six feet tall which makes tip-overs a possibility, thus making these steps very necessary. The next step will be staging since we are almost done with every piece needing to be shipped. Staging will give us insight on how we should pack or crate the remaining pieces depending on the space available.
